At The Side Hustle University, I will try my best to provide YOU, my readers supporters, and followers, with real-world examples to show and prove the possibilities of earning money online. My promise to you is that I will provide you with legitimate ways and advice to achieve your financial goals of online income.
I would like to start by helping the masses with something everyone should do. It is something I like to call the Transition Side Hustle. Look, if you are anything like me…the struggle is real. You have money in your account, but you always find yourself broke. You work more and more but still have no money. The cost of living is beginning to get out of control for many of us. The price of gas is going up to never before seen prices, groceries are going up, and some of us are just going further and further into debt just to survive. I know, I was right there with some of you. A single father with 2 kids and no clue where our next meal was coming from some days. What I learnt, and I learnt it the hard way, was that you need to have multiple streams of income. I know it sounds so obvious, but let’s be real here, none of us really do this. If you look at the wealthy people of the world, they all have multiple streams of income. This is how they stay wealthy. If one well dries up, there is another one for them to tap into. When this finally clicked in my head, I started thinking of ways to achieve this.
So here I am now writing this article to hopefully give you the motivation you need to find your very own Transition Side Hustle too. There is no one size fits all for this and there is also no get-rich overnight thing either, sorry to disappoint you. This will require work and effort, but the rewards are ever so sweet.
Again, I was once like you. Stuck at a job where I was treated like garbage. Worked long hours and was never compensated for it. Spoken down to by my superiors, doing more than my share of the work, eventually getting injured while at working and then fired a year later. And I was fired via an email, not even a phone call or anything.
My bank account always had just enough money in it to pay my bills, but I would still be broke, living paycheque to paycheque. It sucked. It was a terrible and frightful feeling.
Fortunately for me, I came across the world of making money online. With opportunity after opportunity presenting itself, I quickly realized I had to devote more time to this. And this is where the Transition Side Hustle came into play. It was that spark that started me on this journey and I am hoping it will be your spark too.
The Transition Side Hustle is a side hustle that will help you to transition from working in your dead-end, 9 to 5 job, that you have grown to hate, to doing something that makes you just as much money if not more. This is a side hustle that requires quite a bit of work to get started, but once it’s going, it’s going. And the leap from being employed by someone else, to being self-employed won’t be as big and stressful.
The Transition Side Hustle also helps you to find your way into the market of online work. Believe it or not, this online money making industry is massive. According to Joy Renkins in his article “Kick Start Your Own Affiliate Marketing Business”
“Affiliate marketing spend generated by the affiliate marketing industry amounts to over $6.8 billion in the United States, and affiliate marketers generate between 5 and 25% of sales for businesses.”
And this is just for affiliate marketing, which is the OG of making money online. There are endless offers out there that you will come across, from doing surveys online to starting your own blog to offering your services on sites like Upwork and SproutGIgs, the list is endless.
My advice for the Transition Side Hustle is to find something that you are knowledgeable about and that you enjoy doing and find a way to monetize that. For example, do you like baking? Well, find a way to start a blog about your grandmother’s secret banana bread recipe. Are you artistic? Start a YouTube channel showcasing how YOU make your artwork. The key here is to take something you are passionate about and find a way to make it unique and offer something about it that no one else does. It’s ok to copy some other people out there and their ideas, just make them into your own ideas with your very own spin on them. Even go on sites that allow you to sell your very own skills that your boss doesn’t appreciate you for anyway. According to Upwork.com, the biggest niches for freelancers seem to be sales and business development, data entry, accounting, and 3D animation. Furthermore, in the tech sector, jobs like full stack development and front end and back end software development are in huge demand. And because companies find that hiring freelancers are more cost effective for them, freelancers are seeing a huge boom in work opportunities. Now I know you may be thinking, “ I don’t want to work 9 to 5 doing something just to come home and spend more time doing the same thing. This doesn’t sound like a side hustle to me.” But this is where thinking outside the box comes into play. Like I said, it took a while for me to understand this, but the thing is I understand it.
“You can find yourself on a trajectory going from the king or queen of your side hustle, to having a little business operation. The world of work is changing.” Richard Wahlquist, President and CEO of recruiting and staffing firm American Staffing Association.
Look at me for example. The Side Hustle University is nothing new, really. I just took something that has existed for many years and spun it in my own way to appeal to more people. I have my own motivations behind it, but I tried to offer a service to the world that not only talks about making money online, but also proves to you that it is possible, and gives you tips and pointers on how to make it a reality for yourself. I spend a lot of time writing honest and transparent articles and pieces of advice and share that with people who are willing to listen and willing to learn. That is what I tried to do in order to set myself apart from the rest of the crowd. Thankfully it has worked out thus far.
I share this with you to show you that it is possible. If I can do this, then believe me when I say so can you. Remember, if cauliflower can make itself into pizza, then you can do this!!!
To your success,
