I am more than happy to share with you this case study example of Neobux, a Paid To Click website that I currently use daily to give me a stream of revenue, and help me achieve my goal of being my own boss, working for myself, and achieving my ultimate goal of becoming financially independent.

But in this article, I will be discussing whether or not Neobux works, whether it is real or not, and what is the realistic amount of money you can potentially earn. Let’s get started.
Neobux – How Much I Made
As I mentioned in my article titled “Paid to Click – Too Good to Be True, or a Legitimate Way to Make Money Online?” I started by registering for a free standard account. Then I just…well, I just started clicking on the ads I was given. I made a whole 1 cent USD on the first day. Convert that to Canadian dollars and that was like 3 cents. Man….I made it!!! Lamborghini, here I come!!!
Obviously, this was not good enough and I wanted to know and understand how some people out there claim they make 1000’s of dollars monthly on this particular site. After months of reading blog after blog and countless YouTube videos and experimenting on my own, I figured this out.
What I Learned
First off, after 2 years of using Neobux, I was only able to make about $300 USD a month. Here is a detailed account to show my daily earnings. I took a month’s worth of clicks from me and my rented referrals. If you average out how much money was pocketed over the 30 days, you get $10 USD, which translates to roughly $300 USD monthly. Not a terrible amount of money for the amount of work involved, but it is a far cry from the 1000’s per month that some people claim.
Secondly, in order to achieve this you HAVE to invest not only your time but you need to put some money into it as well – REFERRALS IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS WITH NEOBUX. This may not be what the majority out there wants to hear, but this is the truth. You have to spend some money to make some money here with Neobux.
Something I would like to point out also is that even though I had 2000 rented referrals, on any given day about 200 of those referrals were inactive. Meaning, they did not click and view their ads not only for that particular day but also that they never viewed a single ad since joining Neobux.
Spending Money To Make Money
As I said above, you need to spend some money here to make some money with Neobux. The following is what I spent my money on to ensure that this will work for me.
First off, I upgraded my membership to the GOLDEN membership, which goes for $90 USD per year.
By doing this, it opened up ways to earn higher commissions on viewed ads as well as commissions from the ads viewed by referrals. The comparison is in the chart below. You should also note that when signing up to Neobux it is free and it does allow you to be a STANDARD member. But being a standard member just drags out the process of earning money online with Neobux. The Side Hustle University does not recommend this if you are looking to make money quickly, but ultimately it is your decision to make.
While on this topic, there is also something called Golden Packs. These are like “add-ons” to the GOLDEN membership. This is something I have not tried, but I MAY consider it once the money that I have invested so far is made back and things become more consistent from Neobux.
In my honest opinion, I believe that upgrading to the GOLDEN membership was worth the price. It just made sense to speed up the process.
Here is a breakdown of the money that was earned in a day:
On average, in a single day, I would be given 9 ORANGE-rated advertisements to click worth $0.01 USD, and at least 3 MAGENTA-rated advertisements to click worth $0.001 USD. This is the bare minimum. Some days there are more advertisements to click and sometimes there are even BLUE-rated advertisements to click worth $0.02 USD. Again, doesn’t sound like a whole lot of money but remember these are only the ads that YOU click.
I would also like to point out that there are other ways to earn on Neobux if you are willing to put in the extra effort. There are paid surveys that you can do that will be credited directly to your account. And there are loads of surveys that can be done. You can also do micro jobs such as downloading and installing apps. Couple this with the ads you and your referrals click, you can make a lot more money a lot more quickly.
Now I will be honest with you, doing this on your own is insanely boring, and not all that rewarding. But this is where your patience, will, and determination come into play.
Below is an example of the ads that are given to you to click on daily.
Neobux – The Mathematical Proofs
So with the facts of Neobux out of the way, let’s do some basic math now:
If you click on 10 advertisements a day, you would make $0.10 USD/day
30 days in a month will give a total of $0.10 X 30 days = $3.00 USD/month
$3.00 USD/month X 12 months = $36 USD per year
This tells us that even if you did this over the course of a year you would not even come close to making back the $90.00 you spent upgrading to a GOLDEN membership. Underwhelming numbers but hang in there though.
Just think, this number would be a lot less if you just stayed a STANDARD member and also if you didn’t do it at all. Keep that in mind here. The Side Hustle University will always advocate and encourage you to do what you can, even if it makes you a dollar, just do it. It gives you experience that you can carry forward with you. Trust me on this here, it helps in the long run. And the feeling of making that dollar outside of your 9 to 5 is very liberating and motivating and will help to keep you going.
Now, in addition to upgrading the membership, we also invested in referrals. So, the way this works with Neobux is they allow you to “rent” a maximum of 100 referrals per week when you are a GOLDEN member. When we first started Neobux, 100 referrals cost us a total of $20 USD. Now in 2023, that price has gone up to $26 USD. Inflation even hits the online side hustles too, believe it or not.
Again, let’s do some math together;
Let’s use $26/100 referrals. That means to get to 2000 referrals we spent $520 USD.
This would have taken a total of 20 weeks as well, but it took us close to 2 years to get 2000 referrals. The reason for this is something that The Side Hustle University thinks many people overlook and forget to explain to people. That is, the referrals you rent EXPIRE. They expire in 30 days, so you have to keep extending them or just rent new ones altogether.
Another thing people seem to forget to mention is even though you rented 100 referrals, not all 100 of them are going to actually be clicking, whether daily or at all. You have to remember these referrals you are renting are regular hard-working people like you and me. They may start out all excited and full of promise, but when they start to see that they aren’t making the 1000’s of dollars they thought they could make, they just give up or lose patience. We all want to make money right away, but the best approach is to find a way to make money consistently, over and over again.
So, with all this new information that I gained over time, I started to develop a plan to start maximizing my money and start turning a profit from all this.
As I mentioned, not all of the referrals you rent are going to be clicking on ads all the time. So what I did was I extended the most productive referrals for 240 days, which is the max allowable by Neobux. The most productive referrals in my eyes were the ones that had an average greater than 1. What is this average? Well, I don’t know exactly but I think it is the number of ads they click in a day. See below for a clearer understanding.
I decided to keep all the referrals that had an average of 1.0 or higher in the beginning to minimize costs. After a few months of this, I lowered my threshold to anything 0.5 or higher. Extending referrals became quite costly, in 2023 the price to extend a referral is $1.46 USD. So renting referrals and now extending referrals was just eating into whatever money I was making. It sucked, and I thought about just giving up on it. But I don’t quit that easily and I genuinely did believe there was something to make with Neobux.
There wasn’t much I changed about my approach. I kept renting referrals and kept extending the high-performing ones. Overall, I probably invested close to $1500 USD into Neobux from my own pockets. The rest of the money was what I managed to make from clicking and viewing ads and also what the referrals brought in for me.
Closing Remarks
I know and understand that you are looking for a way to make money and not spend money, but in this case, you have to spend some to make Neobux really worth anything. And you WILL MAKE SOME MONEY. Just not as quickly or as much as you would like, or have been led to believe. As we mentioned, this has the potential to bring in at least $300 USD a month. That isn’t enough to help you quit your 9 to 5, but it is $300 you didn’t have before. For me, that’s a car insurance payment for the month, that’s gas for the month, that’s cell phone payments, and some groceries or burgers for the month. The point is, it’s something. It could start and lead you to something bigger. Keep your head up, don’t get discouraged, and stay consistent with it, and I guarantee and promise you will reap the rewards one day of your efforts.

- Yes it is possible to make money with Neobux, but it will not be 1000’s of dollars per month like all those clickbait videos you see on YouTube
- The bare minimum you could potentially make is $300 USD/month if you stick to it, and this takes months of work to achieve
- You have to spend some money here to maximize your earnings
- It is quite boring to click ads, but it only takes about 10 minutes a day
- You can also do surveys and micro jobs to increase your earnings
- Be consistent with it, click every single day otherwise you lose out on referral earnings from the previous day
- Use this Neobux method as a foot in the door to making money online – it will give you a taste of what is out there
